About me

1991 in Montornés del Vallès (Barcelona) geboren.

Im Alter von 9 Jahren begann Sie dort Violoncello zu studieren. Ab 2005 am Conservatori Professional de Música de Badalona bei Mark Friedhoff vorbereitende Ausbildung. Ihre Ausbildung setzte sie 2010 fort an der Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona bei Damian Martínez Marco, sowie bei Christof Richter und Cuarteto Casals. 

2014, nach erfolgreichem Abschluss des Bachelors, erhielt Julia ein Stipendium der Anna Riera-Stiftung in Barcelona, um für zwei Jahre an der Hochschule für Muisik und Theater München ihr Studium bei Prof. Reiner Ginzel fortzusetzen (Abschluss - Master of Music, 2016).

Orchestererfahrung sammelte sie seit 2010 als Mitglied des Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya,  Branimir Slokar Academy Orchestra und Joven Orquestra Nacional de España. Sie war die Spielzeit 2016/2017 Akademistin bei den Essener Philharmonikern , sowie i.d. Spielzeit 2017/18 als Akademistin an der Staatsorchester Wiesbaden. Im Anschluss spielte Julia i. Zeitraum von September 2018 bis Februar 2020 als Cello Tutti bei den Bergischen Symphonikern in Remscheid und Solingen.

Momentan studiert Julia Carrasco im Master Kammermusik sowie die elementare Musikpädagogik an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.

Seit 2020 beschäftigt sich Julia auch wieder sehr aktiv mit Musiktherapie. 

Julia hat Musik für Fernsehwerbung und mehrere Videos komponiert sowie aufgenommen. Darüber hinaus war sie als Cellistin europaweit auf Festivals mit mehrere Orchestern, Ensembles oder Allein musizierend unterwegs.
